Designed by Kirk Pacenti - Mitsugi fork crown for a 1-1/8" steerer. With 50mm inside width, it has plenty of room for wider tires and fenders. This fork crown is Kirk Pacenti's "tribute to the Japanese builders working in the Italian style." Flat with long inner tangs.
A number of these fork crowns have slight discoloration/surface oxidation which does not affect the integrity of the crowns.
For use with our 28x19 oval fork blades. Steel.
106g - Weight is based on a representative sample. Actual weight may vary slightly. Imported.
It is rare for fork blades to fit into a crown on the first try. Wooden blocks in the jaws of a clamp and gentle pressure are typically all that's needed. Compressing the major axis of the oval blades will expand the minor axis and vice versa. Sometimes the inside the crown socket will need to be cleaned up with a file. Do NOT file the fork blade to achieve fit.
